Then, explore Kurunegala, an ancient city surrounded by scenic rock outcrops, dotted with cultural landmarks and panoramic viewpoints. Finally, immerse yourself in the rhythm of Anuradhapura, wandering markets and streets where contemporary life blends with the echoes of a storied past.
Day 2 HIGHLIGHTS
Step back in time in Anuradhapura, wandering through an ancient city where sacred stupas, monasteries, and the legendary Sri Maha Bodhi Tree whisper stories of centuries past. The sprawling ruins and serene reservoirs reveal a world of spiritual devotion and architectural wonder at the heart of Sri Lanka’s cultural heritage.
Then, ascend the hillside of Mihintale, the birthplace of Buddhism in the island, where meditation caves, rock inscriptions, and panoramic views create a quiet, reflective space amid history and nature.
Day 3 HIGHLIGHTS
Travel toward Sigiriya, where the iconic Lion Rock rises above the plains, and the journey itself offers glimpses of Sri Lanka’s lush countryside. Along the way, step into a rural village near Habarana to experience local life firsthand, learning traditional cooking techniques and immersing yourself in everyday customs.
Later, venture into the wild on a safari through Minneriya, Kaudulla, or Hurulu Eco Park, where herds of elephants gather and the landscape teems with monkeys, deer, and vibrant birdlife—a thrilling encounter with Sri Lanka’s untamed beauty.
Day 4 HIGHLIGHTS
Climb the towering Sigiriya Rock Fortress, where ancient frescoes, gardens, and mirror walls lead to breathtaking summit views above the jungle—a perfect blend of history and adventure.
Step into the past at Polonnaruwa, wandering through royal ruins, stone-carved Buddhas, and centuries-old temples that reveal the grandeur of Sri Lanka’s medieval kingdoms. Later, unwind with a traditional Ayurvedic massage, letting time-honored herbal therapies and gentle techniques restore your energy and leave you refreshed.
Day 5 HIGHLIGHTS
Discover the hidden treasures of Matale at a traditional gem mine, where the glitter of sapphires and garnets tells the story of centuries-old mining traditions and local craftsmanship.
Climb to the hilltop Golden Temple of Dambulla, exploring its serene cave shrines adorned with murals and statues, before heading to the bustling cultural heart of Kandy, where markets, lake views, and artisanal shops capture the spirit of the hills.
As evening falls, experience the energy of a Habarana Cultural Show, where music, dance, and fire rituals bring Sri Lanka’s vibrant traditions vividly to life.
Day 6 HIGHLIGHTS
In Kandy, step into the spiritual heart of the city at the Temple of the Tooth, where centuries-old rituals and ornate architecture honor one of Buddhism’s most revered relics. Later, explore the artistry of a batik workshop, watching vibrant fabrics come to life through traditional hand-dyeing techniques and learning the stories woven into this iconic Sri Lankan craft.

Wander through Colombo, where bustling streets, colonial landmarks, and vibrant temples create a city alive with color and culture. Visit the serene Gangaramaya Temple, admire the striking red-and-white Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque in Pettah, and stroll along Galle Face Green to take in ocean breezes and local street life before your journey concludes.
