As much as I tried, I could not make this adventure work for my schedule last year. It was so hard to make the ultimate decision that staying home with the kids, moving our business forward, coaching, and just being a mom was what needed to be done while Keith took our first group adventure to Tanzania for a safari in the Serengeti.
If I’m being honest, I don’t typically get FOMO (fear of missing out), but this adventure changed that for me, and for the first time in a very long time I was so upset that I did not attend. I don’t regret it because I needed to be home and it was the right thing for me at the time, but this time…I’m all in! Here is a quick video from our adventure in 2023 as well!
A safari in Tanzania offers a unique and unparalleled wildlife experience, making it a popular destination for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers. The reasons to go are countless, however, here is what I am most excited about:
– Rich Biodiversity: Tanzania is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including the famous “Big Five” (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros). The country’s national parks and game reserves provide opportunities to witness these majestic animals in their natural habitats.
– The Great Migration: Tanzania is part of the annual Great Migration, one of the most spectacular wildlife events on Earth. Millions of wildebeest, zebras, and other herbivores migrate across the Serengeti and Maasai Mara ecosystems in search of fresh grazing land, creating a breathtaking spectacle.
– Stunning Landscapes: Beyond its wildlife, Tanzania boasts diverse landscapes, including the vast plains of the Serengeti, the iconic Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, and the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These landscapes provide a stunning backdrop to your safari experience.
– Cultural Richness: Tanzania is home to various ethnic groups, each with its own unique culture and traditions. Visitors have the opportunity to interact with local communities, gaining insights into their way of life, traditions, and history.
– Professional Safari Guides: The country has experienced and knowledgeable safari guides who are well-versed in the behavior of wildlife and the geography of the region. They enhance the safari experience by providing valuable information and ensuring the safety of our guests.
– Exclusive Safari Lodges: Our accommodations are more like “Glamping”. They have all the amenities as a hotel room, but in a tent. It’s truly an experience that I cannot wait to have! Being able to wake up hearing all the wildlife and seeing nature around you. Don’t worry, our guides watch our sites all night to make sure everyone is safe and having an incredible experience!
– Photographic Opportunities: The incredible wildlife and landscapes in Tanzania offer excellent opportunities for photography. Whether you’re an amateur or a professional photographer, you’ll have the chance to capture breathtaking moments on your safari. Some of the best photos we that were taken was from the Hot Air Balloon safari our group did at sunrise! So worth it!
– Conservation Efforts: Many safari operators in Tanzania actively contribute to conservation efforts. By participating in a safari, visitors indirectly support initiatives aimed at protecting the country’s wildlife and natural habitats. We will always try to have a Give-Back day whether it be for nature, wildlife or a local village.
– Adventure and Excitement: Safari experiences in Tanzania can be both thrilling and adventurous. Whether it’s tracking animals on a game drive, going on a walking safari, or experiencing a hot air balloon safari at sunrise, there’s a sense of excitement and adventure that comes with exploring the wild.
– Memorable Sunsets and Night Skies: Tanzania’s wide-open landscapes and clear skies provide the perfect setting for breathtaking sunsets and stargazing. The beauty of the natural surroundings extends beyond the daytime safari activities.
Overall, a safari in Tanzania offers a holistic and unforgettable experience that combines wildlife viewing, cultural immersion, and the exploration of some of Africa’s most stunning landscapes.
I can write all day about my “why” to go to Tanzania, however, we invite you to take a look at our Tanzania highlights in Instagram from our 2023 adventure to see for yourself!
